Yarn on the Square is a specialist wool and yarn supplier trading from the historic city of Ely inCambridgeshire.
We aim to be an inviting, friendly and inspirational place, welcoming knitters and crotcheters with all levels of experience, from beginners to advanced. The shop floor has full disabled access.
Our staff are experienced needlewomen, happy to help and give support whenever it’s needed. We run a variety of classes - some taught by ourselves and others led by instructors who have specialist skills or interests.
We stock yarns and patterns from Sirdar, Noro, Debbie Bliss, Louisa Harding, Rowan and Bergere de France, as well as kits from Colinette. We are also stockists for Brittany Needles, Injabulo and McAnaraks buttons, and have a range of accessories from Atomic Knitting, Lantern Moon and Clover.
We are delighted to offer gift certificates, and are happy to post out orders made over the phone. We also hold ‘ wish lists’ for birthdays and special occasions

Yarn on the Square is open six days a week from 10am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and 10am to 4pm on Saturday.
