Yarn on the Square is shop that likes to be involved with the wider community.

Since opening we have provided ongoing support to various national and international charities.

Currently we are supporting the Woolsack project www.woolsack.org which has the aim of encouraging knitters to make cushions which will be given as a personal welcome gift from the people of Britain to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic athletes. To help with this we are hosting a stuffing event within the shop on Sunday February 12th from 10:30 am until approx 4pm. If you have made or are intending to make a cushion you are very welcome to join us. Please let us know ahead of time to ensure we have enough stuffing.

We are also still collecting jumpers and vests to send to the Marsden Highworth School in the Gambia. Free patterns available here
