Yarn on the Square is shop that likes to be involved with the wider community.

Since opening we have provided ongoing support to various national and international charities.

Currently we are supporting the Woolsack project www.woolsack.org which has the aim of encouraging knitters to make cushions which will be given as a personal welcome gift from the people of Britain to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic athletes. Cushions need to be finished by the end of May so that they can then be distributed to the athletes. Please get in contact if you need further information. We still have some stuffing left in store which we are happy to let you use.

We are also still collecting jumpers and vests to send to the Marsden Highworth School in the Gambia. Free patterns available here

Within the shop charity donations are collected and sent to www.burma-assist.org
